I own a pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing enterprise. How do I know which banks have requested Cibil for my company's credit information report?
Company credit information report (CCIR) is a month-on-month record of a company's debt-related exposure and payments. Cibil provides CCIR's only to banks for making credit decisions and to businesses which request for their own CCIR. Cibil does not provide your CCIR to any other individual or businesses. You can purchase your enterprise's credit report to know which banks have checked your CCIR with Cibil in the past 24 months. This information will appear in the 'enquiry' section of the CCIR. This section provides names of the banks that have enquired or checked your CCIR with Cibil along with the dates. In addition, it also provides the type of credit and the loan amount for which the banks checked your CCIR. The latest reported enquiry will appear first.
I am a guarantor on my brother-in-law's industrial loan. Will my name appear in his business CCIR?
The details of the loan guarantor appear in the CCIR. As an individual guarantor, your name, PAN, address and telephone number will show in the 'credit facility details' section under the guarantor segment header of your brother-in-law's company credit report. If there are multiple guarantors on this credit facility, information of all the guarantors will appear in the CCIR. In fact, this information may also appear in your own individual credit information report CIR if the banks have reported it to Cibil. The status of this credit facility will show in the accounts section of your CIR with the ownership indicator as 'guarantor'.
