Chalk and Chuckles,

Chalk and Chuckles,

A Delhi-based three month-old toy company has launched a collection of 14 games that are not run-of -the-mill concepts. The games, which have an educational slant, have been designed to enhance creativity, build skills while including fun and extra family time. Children and parents can spend more time interacting because in these games, the parents have to explain social concepts such as kindness, compassion, etc., while playing. An interesting game, which is a spinoff of Bingo, is A Day In The Jungle. It focuses on building relationship skills, (Rs.549) for children in the five-plus age group.

We also liked Happy Mealtime (Rs.549), a card game that includes a set of questions on diverse topics to spark conversations (suitable for families with children between ages 6-12) at meal times. For younger children, there are three ball games--Buzz Ball Rhyme Time, Buzz Ball Number Toss and Buzz Ball Fa La La La (each Rs.199)--which will encourage learning basic concepts about numbers and alphabets in a fun way.
The games can be ordered at www.chalkandchuckles.com
