As part of the data analytics programme, learners appreciate that the significance of data goes far beyond access to copious amounts of information – interpretation and application determine the true value of data. Similarly, design thinking goes beyond the simple comprehension of subject matter in a classroom to the real world implementation of concepts learned. A simple example is learners using data analytics and design thinking to develop the most efficient bus route system for their school, which in turn would reduce their carbon footprint.

The curriculum also provides multiple opportunities to their IBDP learners to not just participate in, but also independently organise a range of activities. Be it sports, theatre and street plays, film festivals, art fests, fundraisers and more, the learners form the core team creating, organising and executing these exciting events.

JBCN, Parel, has an in-house college placements cell which is extremely progressive and dynamic in its outlook. They are committed to enabling college placements as per the inherent passion, skills and interests of each learner under their care. This cell is instrumental in assisting learners with every aspect leading up to the final placement, commencing from career mapping, subject selections, SAT/ACT/IELTS, profile building, personal statements, recommendation letters, applications, interviews and scholarships. Post placement, their college placement cell continues to be in touch and counsel their learners as they navigate through freshman year and adapt to new environs.
