Fazlani L’Académie Globale

21st Century Schooling at Fazlani L’Académie Globale
In the present times that we are living in with technology changing the rules of the game and making old jobs redundant whilst creating new ones, the primary focus of an educational institution needs to be in preparing students for an uncertain future where the skill sets they possess will enable them adapt to changing market dynamics.

At Fazlani L’Academie Globale (FLAG), the focus from primary to senior schooling years is developing 21st century skill sets and inculcating a growth mindset in students to enable them cope with these challenges. The school leverages technology to make learning engagements more effective in the classrooms thereby witnessing a paradigm shift from books to the vast resources available online.

At FLAG, there is an enhancement in student engagement and knowledge retention by integrating technology in teaching and learning. Assessments are made fun with online game based learning models. Physical classrooms are taken a notch higher by introducing Google classrooms and online self learning tools like Mindspark allowing the students to take their learning on to the next level at their own pace.

To add to it, the primary students use a digital portfolio to reflect on their learning journey. It is easy for them to connect, communicate & collaborate.Initiatives such as these have enabled FLAG secure the Jury Award in ‘New Technologies Usage’ category in the 2017 a leading education magazine’s awards.

FLAG prides itself not only on academic success, but also on creating a school ethos with relationships and community at its heart. They foster cross-cultural experiences with local schools and children in the rural areas. As part of the community outreach programme students of middle and high school visited a small village in Raigad where they observed rural lifestyle, interacted with children and adults residing there, launched a community kitchen programme and spread awareness about financial literacy to help the villagers effectively manage their money.

As a responsible institutional citizen, FLAG has adopted the United Nations “Sustainable Development Goals” and their students as young changemakers have worked towards these goals by pledging their contribution in “Rally for Rivers”, supporting climate action, to conducting football matches and art competitions in schools that lack such platforms whilst supporting the goal of quality education.

In this new age of globalization and multi-national cooperation, international travelers who visit the school through Clap talk acquaint students with the culture, way of life and people in different countries. Coding is another buzz at FLAG. The students love attending their coding sessions where they learn to programme lego robots whereas the 7th and 8th graders are learning the basics of aerodynamics and aviation to help them build, programme and operate drones.

FLAG strives to create a place where passion and success go hand in hand, where independent thought is promoted and students are nurtured into the best versions of themselves!!
