Kohli ton gives India series win

Kohli ton gives India series win
Colombo: Virat Kohli notched up his 13th ODI hundred — the fastest to get there — and Suresh Raina cracked yet another composed half-century as India upstaged Sri Lanka by six wickets to capture the five-match limited-overs series. Kohli kept his poise even as India, at 109 for four, seemed to be fluffing their lines chasing 251. India had lost Gautam Gambhir in the first over. Virender Sehwag perished for 34 after striking a few crisp shots. Rohit Sharma’s nightmarish form continued as he departed for four (leg-before), once again playing across the line. Manoj Tiwary, finally getting a game after a long stint at the bench, looked assured but was dismissed when well set. Tiwary (21) fell in trying to play a sweep shot off Jeevan Mendis. Raina joined Kohli and the two went about resuscitating the Indian innings. Kohli creamed Rangana Herath for four boundaries as India won rather convincingly.
Earlier, Tiwary grabbed four wickets to help India restrict Sri Lanka. He finished with four for 61.
