Lifestyle facilities close at hand



One of the most visible trends in Mumbai's real estate development has been the shift from 'prime' locations to 'lifestyle' locations. Instead of focusing on prime areas where space is anyway difficult to find even at a premium piece, developers have been exploring peripheral nodes and locations, where land is available for developing premium homes with amenities to match.
Today one would find most of the essentials of life – shopping, entertainment, education, healthcare, fitness, leisure and entertainment, coupled with hi-tech security – either inside the township project premises itself or within a short radius of it. The long commute to work and back gets offset by all these 'extras,' making it a win-win proposition for all.
Plush air-conditioned entrance lobbies, landscaped gardens, swimming pools, clubhouses with gymnasiums, play areas for children and party zones are the factors that swing the decision in favour of one project as against another.
Considering the frenetic pace of life in this city, long working hours and the traffic congestion during peak hours, the previous concept of taking membership in a club and driving down to use its facilities just doesn't work anymore. Such home buyers appreciate the cosmopolitan crowd and exposure to varied cultures. Making the most of facilities like the play ground, gym, club house, swimming pool, they also enjoy the serenity of the water bodies and lush greenery.
The high level of security provided in such projects also makes a big difference. In addition to play areas for children, gardens for senior citizens and shopping facilities within or near the project, the presence of reputed schools is another major advantage.
Those who are fond of following a fitness regime enjoy the availability of facilities like a well-equipped gymnasium and swimming pool within the project itself. It helps them to catch up with these activities even after coping with hectic work schedules.
For instance, the best thing about having a pool in the project is that one can drive straight to the clubhouse and have a nice swim before going home. It is very convenient because the project facilities are open till late at night whereas a private club may not permit swimming at late hours. The icing on the cake, however, is being able to walk home afterwards within the compound itself.
