Sifting thru the iPhone 5 rumour mill

Soon, very soon, Apple will unveil the iPhone 5. And as with any Apple launch the anticipation has built up and is boiling over. Apple Fanboys can't stop chattering about all possible features that the phone will have. Here's the lowdown on all the iPhone 5 rumours.
l iCloud: First, let's get the obvious out of the way. The iPhone 5 will feature a dual-core processor. The phone will be the first device to be launched with iOS 5 and iCloud onboard. The introduction of iCloud will help users to update their software over the air, unlike earlier where the phone had to be connected to a computer. In short, a speedier and richer experience is on the cards.
l Larger display: What we don't know for sure is whether it will sport a larger 4-inch display like some of the flagship Android phones. New iPhones invariably come with a design makeover. Some are even suggesting that the phone will have a curvy design. The camera too will get an upgrade, but it remains to be seen whether it will be 8 megapixels.
l New touch: The iPhone 5 is expected to support new touch gestures, which may use four- or five-fingered movements to cycle through apps and serve other functions. If this does kick in, Android phones will look 'oh so yesterday'.
l No nano:There is speculation that Apple has built a prototype of a cheaper version of the iPhone dubbed 'Nano'. This is meant to keep competition from cheaper Android handsets at bay. Obviously, this gets a lot of us excited. But given Apple's track record, this is unlikely. Apple may at some point drop prices of the iPhone 4, as it did with the iPhone 3GS recently. It is, however, expected that Apple will provide for a 64GB version of iPhone 5.
l CDMA support: Folks in the US (where CDMA networks are a big deal) are getting all excited about a dual-mode iPhone, which will support both GSM and CDMA networks. This is a big maybe. But if such an iPhone does launch, it's good news for the people here on CDMA networks.
