One of the country's leading
deejays, Shaan took things to a whole new level when he performed in
front of the largest crowd ever for an Indian DJ at the world's biggest
guest list event.Held at DY Patil Stadium, the electronic dance music
(EDM) gig was broadcast live in over 75 countries, with millions tuning
in to catch the action online. The 20-year-old performed for free at
the event that was organised by guestlistevents.in, the proceeds of
which will be used to pull children out of poverty through a 10-year
Magic Bus education programme. With the world's favourite DJ Hardwell
headlining the act and Kill The Buzz also playing, the event was able to
raise
funds for 18,200 kids.
Shaan, who flew down from the Djakarta Warehouse Festival in Indonesia, said, “It was a dream come true to be able to do what I love, unite with so many fans in the stadium and around the world and make a difference through dance music. This is what India is capable of.This is what we are capable of! United we are, indeed.“
The artiste is not a stranger to festival crowds.He made his debut at Sunburn Goa at the age of 15 and was also the first Indian DJ to play at Tomorrowland. After the Enchanted Valley Carnival (EVC) that concluded recently, he will enthrall audiences at the upcoming Sunburn Goa 2015 festival.
