PROCEDURE TO GET DEEMED CONVEYANCE FROM DEPUTY DISTRICT REGISTRAR


1 Collect documents related to land and residential buildings such as property card/ 7/12 extract, development agreement plan, approved plan of the building from the civic body and copy of agreements.

2 Send an application along with the necessary documents to the local district deputy registrar (DDR).

3 After verifying the documents, the DDR will invite the parties involved, and question the developer or the owner of the land for not giving the conveyance certificate. If the demand of housing societies is genuine, then the DDR will issue a deemed conveyance certificate. The procedure can take up to six months. 4 After obtaining the deemed conveyance from the DDR, the document has to be stamped and registered, and the housing society will have to get the property card/ 7/12 extract in the name of the society.
