Western Railway holds drive to check ticket black marketing
A scrutiny of 300 reserved train tickets booked at Sardargram station during April-June this year revealed 95 of them to be fake, a Western Railway release said on Tuesday.
The drive was carried out to check black marketing of tickets. An amount of Rs 52,530 was collected as penalty from 142 offenders, the release said.
A man was caught red-handed while selling tickets under the emergency quota, in the name of a member of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee. He was punished under Section 143 of the Railway Act in the court of railway magistrate, the release said.
Moreover, 117 people were caught for unauthorised travel.
They were charged fines under Section 142 of the Act and a fine of Rs 46,226 was slapped on them, the release added.

we are facing problem by ticket booking counter,
they are booking ticket very slow...
1.they don't know responsibilities on duty.
2.They are booking ticket in Black "Bribe/Commission and selling Ticket to AGENT in Black and getting money per ticket 200rs from AGENT"
3.Normal people are not getting Tatkal Ticket.
4.They are very talk-active and never do work fast and No value of customers No value of Time.
5.They talk very Rudely
6.Slow speed Work, if 5 People are in Queue they will take long time to book ticket's example: 1 hour.
7.Don't know train numbers proper and Shouting without reason, some times they use Abuse words.

I am railway authorised e-ticket agent and I can not book Tatkal ticket due to service unavailable at 8.00am in IRCTC website. To stop the corruption in ticket booking at railways reservation counter., The railway ministry must impose to carrying identity card must while travelling for the Passengers who purchase ticket from Railway reservation counter. This is very necessary to stop Black marketing of Reserve ticket. This system is already acts on e-ticket.The railway ministry must also ban the change of name and age in Ticket booked from Railway Reservation Counter. The black marketier or Dalal booked in block and sell them by correcting name or age with the help of Reservation Clerk by giving bribe.So please send my opinion to railway ministry to impose carrying Identity Card must as it is in e-ticket system for the Travelling passenger atleast in Tatkal Ticket.
At mahesana station in Gujarat.. the reservation counters are pre-occupied by people who work on the various platform stalls..These people represent the local booking agents.Any customer/passanger who is coming early in the morning didnot get the 1st 4 to 5th position on the either of the two booking windows.. It is a regular phenomena and any body obecting it is harrassed by the agents. The most anazing factor is that the GRP thana is hardly 20 mtrs from the windows and GRP personal also do noting to rectify the same.These agents representative sleeps in the night in front of the windows... Some times the booking clerk himself also bring tatkal forms while taking the charge in the morning..As it is a daily activity the news channel can himself see and provide a proof to the authorites who claims that they will take the action when provided with proof of the misconduct..

To check the growing menace of touts, the Ahmedabad division carried out checks at the computerised reservation centres and caught six persons who were illegally selling tickets. Divisional railway manager Ashok Garud said they deployed a joint team of Railway Protection Force and the commercial department officers to stop black-marketing of tickets. Senior divisional commercial manager D K Chachodia supervising operations. Ahmedabad division handles about 1.40 lakh passengers daily.
