In his latest photographic
experiment, Raghu Rai travelled around India and cap tured its scenic
beauty, from the valley of Kashmir to the coast of Kanyakumari, through
the Gionee ELIFE E8's 24MP camera. The pictures have been compiled into
India Through The Eyes of Raghu Rai, one of India's first coffee table
books shot entirely through a smartphone.
During his travels, Rai used different modes of the phone's camera, like
black-and-white and panorama. About his experience with the phone, he
said, “It's quick, everything comes into sharp focus and it's always
ready to shoot.“ Arvind Vohra (Country CEO and MD, Gionee India), said,
“It's an honour for us that a photographer like Rai chose the ELIFE E8
to capture India like never before.“
