BSE Launches New Logo on 149th Foundation Day - New Logo Of BSEIndia - bse india logo

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Asia's oldest stock exchange, launched a new logo on its 149th foundation day on Monday. The new logo features a stylized "B" and "S" in blue and red, with the words "BSE" in white. The logo is said to represent the exchange's commitment to innovation and growth.

BSE was established in 1875 as "The Native Share & Stock Brokers' Association" under a banyan tree in Mumbai's Dalal Street. Over the past century, it has facilitated the growth of the Indian corporate sector by providing it an efficient capital-raising platform. In 2017, BSE became the first listed stock exchange of India. It currently provides a market for trading in equity, currencies, debt instruments, derivatives, and mutual funds.

On July 6, the board of directors of BSE Ltd approved a share buyback worth up to ₹374.80 crore at ₹816 per share. The buyback will be done through a tender offer and the record date will be decided by the buyback committee.

At 12:40 pm on Monday, the shares of BSE were trading 0.95% lower at ₹700.65 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

Here are some additional details about the new BSE logo:

  • The blue color in the logo represents the exchange's commitment to integrity and trust.
  • The red color represents the exchange's dynamism and energy.
  • The white text in the logo represents the exchange's transparency and clarity.
  • The stylized "B" and "S" in the logo are meant to represent the exchange's bond with its stakeholders.

The new BSE logo is a symbol of the exchange's commitment to innovation and growth. It is a fitting way to mark the exchange's 149th foundation day.
