Sion as a residential destination If I have to rate Sion as a residential destination, out of 10 it would rate 7 points, considering all the aspects like living standards and commuting facilities available like auto-rickshaws, taxis, trains, buses, etc. Also, it is a centralised location that connects to all areas of Mumbai. There is hardly any power cut - in my 31 years of life I have hardly seen any power cut imposed. There is no water logging in rains either. The connectivity that Sion offers I have multiple options comprising Sion station for central line, Kings Circle station for harbor line and connecting to the western line as well along with GTB Nagar Station for harbor line. Auto rickshaws are available for the western and central suburbs. Taxis and Cool Cabs are readily available for going to all areas of Mumbai city. Both taxis and auto rickshaws are available 24x7. Many buses have their start point from here, which connects to all the areas of Mumbai, out of which few of the buses work 24 x 7. The entertainment options available We have the Cinemax multiplex at Sion Circle, a number of restaurants like Hanuman, Ramdev, Shabri, Peninsula, Nutan, eateries like Gurukripa, Subway, Dominoes, etc. Educational institutions There is the Little Angels High School, S.I.E.S College (Arts, Science & Commerce), at a distance of just 15 minutes from Sion there are Shishuvan School, Podar Collage, Ruia College. Shopping options Not many of the apparel brands have set up dedicated outlets here but we have the Loot Store where many brands are available, like Allen Solly, Van Heusen, there is the Cambridge Store… for other brands we either go to Dadar or Bandra as all these places can be reached within 15 to 20 minutes from Sion. There are big organized retail outlets like Reliance Fresh and Sahakari Bhandar at Kings Circle Medical facilities There are 8 to 10 medical shops, which are open 24 hours day and night. We have Sion Hospital, Kikabhai Hospital, Lion Tarachand Hospital, several Maternity and Nursing Homes also. Residential options There are plenty of options to choose from; new skyscrapers are coming up on a regular basis. Sion is also due for more redevelopment soon. Office spaces There is plenty of office space is available, a new glass façade structure has come up at Sion Circle and it is developing like a commercial office for small business as well as a residential hub. Basic advantages It is a much centralised location, from where it is easy to reach any part of Mumbai or outstation as we get all the transport we need on a 24 x 7 basis. Sion is a good place to reside and raise a family because of its peaceful environment, overall quality of life and above all, it's relaxing, easy paced and peaceful ambience.
